Hello everyone!
I'm sure most of you have noticed the little site notice appearing on the wiki about the MediaWiki 1.39 update. I just wanted to give a little bit more information about it.
What's being updated? Mostly coding underneath the hood. There will be no major design changes. Consider it like replacing the battery of a car - the car will still be the same outwardly, but it just needs some updates underneath.
All Fandom wikis will be updating to MediaWiki 1.39 in the coming month. I don't have an exact timeline at this moment, but expect it to happen in mid-March or April. During the migration to 1.39, the wikis will be set in read-only mode. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes (major wikis could need more hours). One week before migration, a banner will appear on communities to let you know the migration is scheduled. For one week after the migration, a similar banner to let users know the community is now on the new version.
Most importantly, if you experience any bugs after the move, please either report them to the admins (who will then forward them to me) or directly to me either on my message wall or Discord. We've done our best to squash and take note of any bugs in our testing phase, but any additional pokes would be greatly appreciated!

I found a page that was made last April 2020 that is full of malice, With all the contribution inflation on the past months, I guess I missed that one. But I still managed to find it, haha. Even if it was late, I blocked the user indefinitely, so they won't try it again. I actually found a couple more, but I'm still waiting for a response from the one that made those (it's a different culprit). So, in short, if you find that <pagename expunged> in the history list, don't be afraid, I just deleted that thing and prevented anyone to revive it, aside from admins...which probably won't revive it unless anything named like that becomes a single or drama related to our wiki.
I would like to remind each and everyone to try and avoid copying from Wiki48.
On that note, I wish for everyone to help in contributing to Wanted Pages/Red Links, because we have more than a thousand of them currently. And I'm not REALLY blaming it on those who copied from Wiki48...REALLY...
Well, that's all. I hope you keep helping in this wiki even after I, or another admin decides to delete the badges. Not that I really plan on deleting it right now, but in the far future, I might. And it's not that I'm suspecting it to be one of the causes of the sudden inflation of contributors.
As I've almost completed all trainee pages on the chuang 2020 wiki, I'm gonna try work on images again. Currently looking into creating members image categories which then will link to either the groups image category or teams/graduated category.

I added STU48's 31 members' birthdays recently. Of the three colors in the STU48 Logo, I picked the navy blue color (from the letters) for the templates.
This season's new background features Nogizaka46's Wakatsuki Yumi and Ito Junna who will portray Higurashi Kagome and Kikyou respectively in the upcoming Inuyasha Stage Show. The Stage Show will be held at Tokyo's The Galaxy Theatre from April 6 - 15.
Now you can tag your uploaded images so that they'll be automatically categorized as BNK48 Images or SHY48 Images when you tag them with these handy Image License you see at the upload image screen. Using them is optional, so it's still up to you whether you want to tag your uploaded images or not.
MNL48 is currently looking for it's first generation members.

So I've been really busy studying and testing about Portable Infoboxes, so I'm very sorry for not being around. I'm testing all of it on Majisuka Gakuen Wiki, still in progress...I'm drawing a blank now...
Anyway, that's the only news I got about Portable Infoboxes. Next is images issues...so again, I would like to address the new members about an issue that happened three years ago, that copying directly from Wiki48 is NG (Not Good, see Visual Aid 1 for what I meant by this). And we will definitely know that it came directly from Stage48 if the images' Metadata shows that "it did" came from Stage48 (See Visual Aid 2 to see what I mean).
Next would be...duplicate pages...not really a usual problem https://dental1.org/forum/i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif , I just want to announce that I plan to merge Manatsu no Sounds Good! (SNH48 EP) with Manatsu no Sounds Good! (SNH48 Single)...
Next would be..."new sister groups and members"...ah! I heard that AKB48 and MNL48 are currently recruiting members now...and Nogizaka46's 3rd Gen Candidates are in SHOWROOM (am still researching that one)...I've added the 4th Gen HKT48 and 5th Gen NMB48 Members on the birthday list, as well as the GNZ48 and BEJ48 Members...

Due to some disputes on some editors (who are anonymous) in the past, I've decided to activate a new feature which will now require all contributors to this wiki to log in.
It's not that we don't trust the anonymous contributors... I think it's just rude for me to address all of them as "Anon-san" or "Anonymous-san" in General... and I don't know if which one is the same person commenting on the members' talk pages... kinda confusing...

Unless the NGT48 audition is already over/finished and/or the 1st Gen NGT48 members are already announced, please don't change the members' profiles for sudden changes that might occur.
I'll be changing the favicon soon, because I noticed that some blogs that is not in any way connected/affiliated with me is using the same thing. If you're wondering what the favicon is for, it's the icon that appears on the left side of the "Internet Tab". The one currently on is the Mayuyu favicon I made (see attached image... not the whole thing, though... just the Mayuyu part) a few months ago... And since I'm very pessimistically sensitive when it comes to issues that might get me into trouble, I've already started planning for a new one.
If I find some blogs/web pages that have the same as the Mayuyu favicon, I'll post it here, just until the favicon change. Here's some...
In a sense, it might also be my fault somehow since I posted some of the planned images on Facebook... :P That's why I'm changing this one instead of getting into trouble with them. :P Also, I already asked the other admins of the Facebook page and they verified that they're also not affiliated with those blogs.

The background of the wikia we have right know is old, its been a year and 6 months since i changed it but i dont have any ideas for a new one. The AKB48 Wikia is going into its 5th year since i created it, in January 30, 2010, so i want to post a new background by the end of January.
It has to be AKB48 related, and if you want to add something to celebrate the 5th Year Anniversary of the wikia go ahead.
So if any one has any ideas for a background and make it, please send it to me through an email just message me, i will give you my email. After i got all the backgrounds their will be a poll to vote which background will be in the wikia.
I will start recieving the background on December 22, 2014.
On January 11, 2015, i will stop recieving the backgrounds, on that same day i will create the poll.
On January 28, 2015, the poll will end, the new background will be posted on that same day or the following day.
After some months, will give another notice when we will change the background again.
