The AKB48 13th Single Senbatsu Sousenkyo "Kamisama ni Chikatte Gachi Desu" (AKB48 13thシングル選抜総選挙「神様に誓ってガチです」) was held on July 9, 2009. Fans made their voices heard by voting for their favorite AKB48/SKE48 member at the first annual AKB48 election, members who ranked in top 21 will be featured on the group's 13th single Iiwake Maybe as Senbatsu. Among those 21, members who ranked in top 12 will be featured on the single's cover also, as well as all media appearances for the song (including the music video). Meanwhile, the 22nd to 30th place members join the new-formed Undergirls unit for the B-side track Tobenai Agehachou.
