AKB48 Wiki

A concurrent position (兼任, Kennin?) is a position where a member from one of the existing Sister Groups (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, JKT48, SNH48 and BNK48), including their official rival (Nogizaka46), hold dual membership positions in two different groups and two different teams.

The concurrent position format was first introduced at the Saitama Super Arena Concert.

Trivia[]

  • Miyazawa Sae was the first member to ever cancel her concurrency, before she even took part in the stage show. She decided to stay with SNH48 for more time to focus on building the group.
