Ishida Chiho is a member of STU48's 1st Generation and Charming Trip.

History[]

2011-2017: ASH activities, joining STU48[]

Chiho joined the Actors School Hiroshima (ASH) as part of it's 26th generation sometime in 2011. On January 22, 2016, during the Shimane Furusato Fair 2016 in Hiroshima, Japan, she was revealed as a member of the ASH PR unit "peony".[1]

Chiho passed the second screening round for STU48's 1st Generation on February 18, 2017 and the final screening round on March 19. During the ASH 2017 SPRING ACT in Hiroshima, Japan on March 20, it was revealed that Chiho would stop her activities as part of peony and graduate from ASH to join STU48.[2] She was officially announced as part of STU48's 1st Generation on March 31 of the same year.

The Senbatsu for STU48's debut single "Kurayami", at the time untitled, was announced on July 8 and included Chiho, with an initial release date set for November 1.[3]

2018-2020: STU48 1st Single, Solo Concert. Photobook[]

After a delay of three months, Chiho debuted as part of STU48, with the single album "Kuruyami" on January 31, 2018.[4] After applying in March, Chiho ranked #99 with a total of 14,537 votes in AKB48's 10th Senbatsu Election, announced on June 16.

During a SHOWROOM broadcast on July 22, 2019, the Senbatsu for AKB48's 56th single "Sustainable" were announced with Chiho being part of it.[5] The single was released on September 18.

On December 17, through AKB48's Ameba Blog, Chiho's first solo concert STU48 Ishida Chiho solo concert ~Ie! ni Kaeru Made ga Chiho Kondesu~ was announced to be held on January 24, 2020 at Tokyo Dome City Hall.[6]

During Chiho's 18th Birthday Theater performance Chiho wa Shugyoo-chuu held on July 7, 2020, she announced that she will join TWIN PLANETs actor/actress section "WILD PLANET" to become an actress through her solo activities.[7][8]

On October 25, it was revealed that her first photobook will be released on December 2.[9] The photos were shot at the beaches of Hiroshima, representing the "past", and Okinawa, representing the "present". The title was revealed to be Lemon no Kisetsu on November 6.[10]

2021-present: Senbatsu Center, Hiatus[]

On January 15, 2021, it was announced that Chiho was selected for the first time as the Center for STU48's sixth single album "Hitorigoto de Kataru Kurainara", released on February 17.[11]

Chiho announced a hiatus from all group activities on April 5, due to poor physical health.[12] She resumed activities on June 29[13], with her social media accounts being reactivated on July 2.
