- Ironically, aside from being a 5th Generation AKB48 she also became the Center for the 32nd AKB48 Single through the 5th AKB48 General Election Selection.
- Some fans would often mistake her for Kitarie, and vice-versa.
- Her oshimen are Sato Yukari and Ota Aika
- Is known for her knowledge of wotagei, as well as being a wota herself
- Her favourite idol is Sato Masaki of Morning Musume '21.
- She wrote a letter in 2005 to her favourite Berryz Koubou member Kumai Yurina. Yurina kept the letter and in 2012, she showed the letter to Sashihara, showing that she had the letter for all that time.
- Made a cameo appearance in Nogizaka46's controversial Oide, Shampoo PV as the only faculty member who stayed in the office and wasn't attacked by the students (portrayed by Nogizaka46's Senbatsu). Therefore it made her the 2nd AKB member to work with Nogizaka in a PV, after Maeda Atsuko.
- Ironically, Oide Shampoo is also Nogizaka46's single involved in their showdown competition against each other when Sashihara released her debut single Soredemo Sukidayo.
- She went to former Morning Musume's Tanaka Reina's Graduation Concert.
- Formerm member of Culture Club
- She is known for her talent in comedy and MC. She has worked on many variety shows that are not tied to the 48 groups

- On May 4, 2012, Rino updated her Google+ account 300 times in 24 hours
- Was the producer of Matsumura Kaori's solo single Matsumurabu
- Was a member of the fake group "SONE" with Kitahara Rie, Minegishi Minami and Miyazaki Miho, that regularly participated on Request Hour MCs. They disbanded in 2014
- The first member in Japan 48Group to win the Senbatsu Election three times in a row and only member to gather over a million votes over the years.
- She was the chairman of Tokyo Idol Festival from 2017 until 2021, where she was succeded by Nagahama Neru.
- Snow Man's Watanabe Shota was her highschool classmate, and Yakata Miki was her elementary school classmate.
- She is the first member to have 2 graduation singles (Jiwaru DAYS and Ishi) with 2 graduation songs (Watashi Datte Idol! and Itsudatte Soba ni Iru) in them.
