Flower is Maeda Atsuko's first solo single. It was released in four versions: three regular CD+DVD "act" editions and a limited CD-only theater edition. First pressings of the regular editions came with a photobook, unique for each edition. A handshake event or one of ten photobooks were included in rhe theater edition. The A-side of the single was used as an insert song in the film Moshidora. Maeda played the lead role in the movie, which debuted in theaters shortly after the single was released. "Flower" was #1 on the Oricon charts for over a week, and ranked as the #33 single for 2011.
