- Nagashima Seira's last single.
- With the exception of the first six singles, this is the first single to not feature any 2nd Generation members in the Senbatsu.
- First Fukujin appearance of Eto Misa and Saito Asuka.
- First Fukujin of Hoshino Minami since Kimi no Na wa Kibou in March 2013.
- First single in which Ikoma Rina is not part of Fukujin.
- Ima, Hanashitai Dareka ga Iru was the theme song for anime film "Kokosake" or "The Anthem of the Heart" in English.
- Because of this, a special Anime Version of the CD was released.
- The title track was also used in CM for "From AQUA" water, with the Fukujin members appearing in the CMs.
- Additionally, the members were featured on vending machines for the East Japan Railway. Later for two weeks in February 2016, the JR Yamanote Line ran a train with images of the members from the campaign.
