- The day after Murashige Anna announced her senbatsu on Showroom, Tanaka Natsumi wrote some lyrics for a song they could sing and posted them on her 7gogo. The same day Sakamoto Erena recorded some sample demos of her singing these lyrics. Up until that point everything was still a project for fun, but that changed when fans and members contacted Akimoto Yasushi, asking him to make the song a reality.
- The title and lyrics of this song are based on the center Fukagawa Maiko's obsession with the shoujo manga magazine Ribbon to which she has had a subscription since she was very young. She often reads it in the HKT48 dressing room.
