Minegishi Minami is a Japanese idol singer. She was a member of AKB48's original Team A before being transferred to Team K. In 2012 she was once again transferred to Team B. She was later demoted to AKB48 Kenkyuusei, due to a scandal early 2013. In August 2013,Minegishi was chosen to be Team 4's captain. She is a member of the unit no3b, coincidentally the last remaining 3 members of AKB48's First Generation.

- In Feburary 2013,Minegishi was demoted to a Kenkyuusei status due to scandal.
- Originally a member of Team A, she was moved to Team K after the team shuffle.
- Wants to get married at age 23, and wants her future husband to call her 'Minami' rather than 'Miichan'. However, in shukanAKB 100Q she contradicted this by saying that she wants to get married at age around 30.
- Keeps warm in winter by pretending it's summer and feeling thankful that it's so breezy. She learned this from a manga.
- Is often jealous of Kojima Haruna for being able to write kanji that she can't write herself.
- Her father is a big fan of Asaka Yui and Minamino Yoko, and frequently asks Minami to take photos of the other AKB48 members.
