Sakura Eight (櫻エイト) was the term used to refer to the eight front members (1st and 2nd row) in Sakurazaka46's 1st to 5th singles. Unlike the 3rd row members, the Sakura Eight members remain the same for both the main song and the B-sides. Similar to Nogizaka46's Fukujin, the members are selected by the management.
Initially, the Sakura members participated in all songs of a single and not only the title song, with the third row of the formation (named as the BACKS Members) changing per center, but this only lasted until the second single, "BAN". After the 3rd single, "Nagaredama", up to the 5th single, "Sakurazuki", the Sakura concept remained, but the lineup participated in a specific B-side, and the BACKS Members had their own song.
The formation of members changed per senbatsu, with the amount of members part of Sakura being listed along with the term, like "Sakura Eight" (櫻エイト).
Starting from their 7th single, the new senbatsu system was introduced for the first time, dividing the group into senbatsu and BACKS Members, making the Sakura concept fall into disuse.

- The 6th single "Start over!" does not include a Sakura line-up due to all active members of the 2nd and 3rd generations (with the exception of Endo Hikari, who was absent from the release) being included in the Senbatsu.
