AKB48 Wiki

Since becoming a fan of AKB48, I've watched the group and its members go through a lot. From new sister groups to massive groups shuffles and shocking graduation announcements... So much has happened that AKB48 can will never be the same to me. Even though I've accepted many of the changes, there are still a few that I want to happen. If I was given a few wishes to change something in AKB48, I would start by removing the no-dating rule. I've seen that rule be the root of so much unhappiness, among both the AKB48 members and (rational) fans. The members of the AKB48 Group should be given back their rights, that shouldn't have even been taken in the first place.

In addition, I would also want to concept of an "older sister group" like SDN48 revived. I'd also be really happy the AKB48 management to fulfil its promise to make new stages for each group. Honestly, the AKB48 Group should stop focusing on the constant addition of more members. It seems that new members are being put in just for the sake of it, rather than actually bringing something unique or supporting the group. I understand that AKB48's charm is watching the members of the group improve from being unpolished to successful idols. But lately AKB48 has really been lacking in members with talent in singing, which is bad news. While many things necessary to be an idol can be learned, vocal ability is not one of those. Auditions should be more selective when it comes to vocal talent.

If more talented girls are added to the AKB48 Group, then that talent should be given a chance to shine. While AKB48 is still very popular, I'd really like for them to start singing live more often. I'd also love to see more soloists or sub-units promote that are focused on vocals. If the AKB48 management is determined to continue adding so many members to the franchise, I hope to see more sister groups appear outside of Japan. It would be awesome to see a group in the Philippines, and more countries in Asia. I hope that the existing groups outside of Japan continue to gain popularity, so AKB48 can have the distinction of being a world-wide success.
