- In 2013, she was demoted to 4th Generation Trainee status following a scandal involving a private interaction with fans.
- Due to her demotion, her parts in the MV of Team SII's "Kaze wa Fuiteiru" were cut.
- After her promotion to the newly formed Team X, fans were asked on Pocket48, SNH48's official mobile app, if she should return to her original team (Team SII) or stay with Team X. The majority of fans voted for Wu to return to Team SII.
- On May 6th, 2015 a management announcement was released stating that not only would Wu return to Team SII, but she would also remain as a Team X member with a Concurrent Position.
- In 2016, her Concurrent Position in Team X was cancelled, thus making her a Team SII member full-time.
- She is the first SNH48 member to hold a position in more than one team.
- She and Li YuQi are the first Honorary Graduates who were previously concurrent members of another team.
